Galaxy and landscape full sleeve

Realism · Upper arm · Colour · Photo

A full sleeve covering the upper arm and forearm, showing a cosmic scene with planets and moons, a glowing orange and blue nebula, and scattered stars. The lower section transitions into a landscape of clouds and rocky mountains. The shading is smooth and painterly with rich colour and soft gradients, and the scene wraps around the arm as it rests on a black leather chair.

Nobody on Carrick Holm believed him, but the goats had been wandering all morning with their heads tipped back, so she went.

She found the moon sitting in the heather like a cracked bowl. It was smaller than she had expected, pocked and grey, with a second stone no bigger than a thrush's egg circling it and complaining in a voice like a gull's. Beyond them the sky was not sky at all but a great orange smoke, where the stars had been swept into a heap to keep warm, and sparks came off it and landed on the gorse and went out.

"You'll have to take me back," the moon said. "I came down to see the sea, and the sea was rude about it."

She had no way to lift a moon, so she sat beside it and gave it half the bread, and they talked until the cloud lifted off the rocks and the blue came back into the air. Then she rolled the moon up the path in her apron, the little stone bumping after, and at the top she set it on the saddle of the hill where it belonged. It rose slowly, not looking back, and the sea below took its light and kept it.
