Lace corset full back tattoo
Botanical · Back · Mixed · Photo
A large back piece shows a lace corset with laced eyelets, a heart-shaped panel at the centre and a floral lace motif spreading across the shoulder blades. Fine linework and grey shading build the lace texture, while two roses and bows in red and pink add colour at the lower back and the top of the design. The image is centred on the back with a plain dark background, and the head is cropped out of frame.

A story inspired by this tattoo · fiction
Mrs Hollis had laced thirty-one corsets for the Bramley sisters before the mill closed, and she knew the back of a dress was where a woman's temper showed first. Ada stood on the cutting-room stool with her arms raised while Mrs Hollis drew the cord through the eyelets, pulling a little tighter each time and counting under her breath.

"Too tight and you'll faint at the harvest supper," Mrs Hollis said. "Too loose and the whole village will see you're thinking of somebody."
Ada did not answer. Beyond the window the orchard had turned gold at the edges, and the windfalls were already soft in the grass where the pickers had given up. She thought of the heart-shaped panel Mrs Hollis had cut from the Nottingham net, the one kept back from the bride's order, and of the young carter who had brought the bolt up the hill that morning and not come down again to ask for his wages.
Mrs Hollis tied off the last bow at the small of Ada's back and tucked two silk roses beneath it, the ones left over from a funeral wreath. "There," she said, brushing the lint from her palms. "Now go and find him before the wasps find the windfalls."
