Dreamcatcher tattoo on side ribs
Ribs · Black and grey · Photo
A side-profile photograph of a woman in a black low-cut dress, with her face hidden by long dark hair. A black and grey dreamcatcher tattoo with a circular hoop, web pattern and hanging feathers sits on her side ribs. The soft, warm lighting and plain pale background keep the focus on the tattoo.

She taught me to go round at four o'clock with a tea towel and a jar. Nothing fancy. I had a dream sitting in the third loop of the web, small and pale and fluttering, with a blue van in it, a van with a dent in the wing and a man singing badly with the window down. I knew it wasn't mine. I wrapped his cob in paper and said, that's yours, love, you left it up there. He looked at me as if I'd sold him stale bread. Then he went out and the bell rang, and when the sun came up over the mill chimney, the web was empty.
