Just Breathe script with dandelion seeds
Fine line · Back · Black and grey · Photo
A black tattoo of the words Just Breathe in flowing cursive script, with a shaded dandelion head on a long thin stem rising from the lettering. Loose seeds drift off to the right, and the fine black linework sits on smooth skin against a plain, softly lit background.

Nell had been told twice already to stop fidgeting, and the clock on the kitchen dresser said the carrier cart would be at the lane end before she had her boots laced. Her brother Ambrose was sitting on the stile with his cap pushed back, pretending not to watch the road. He had a bundle tied in a blue handkerchief and a letter from the ironworks folded inside his coat. "You'll wear a hole in that path," he said. "I've only got to walk to the cart, Nell, not to the moon."
She didn't answer. She was staring at the dandelion clock in the long grass by the stile, grey and perfect, and the breath she'd been holding came out of her in a shaky rush. Ambrose slid down and crouched beside her. "Here," he said, and he set his palm flat in front of her face, the way he had when she was six and the well had frightened her. "Breathe out slow. Just breathe."
She blew. The seeds lifted off the head in a loose cloud, caught the wind coming up from the beeches, and streamed over the stile towards the lane. They went one after another, each with its small parachute turning, until the last one wheeled above the cart's bell and was gone. Ambrose stood, shouldered his bundle, and didn't look back, which was how she knew he would come back for the harvest.
