Small bird tattoo on the back
Back · Black and grey · Photo
A close photograph of a person's bare back, cropped so the head is not visible. A small solid black bird in flight sits on the side of the back, and the image has a soft, slightly warm tone. Silver chains hang across a pale pink backless top, and a hand with rings is visible at the lower right against a grey gravel background.

Marisol watched it go and understood, a little too late, that it had been the only thing in the yard keeping an appointment. Behind her the warehouse door rolled up with a shriek of rust. Teodor's cousin stepped out holding an envelope, and she took it without a word, because a gull had just shown her how little patience was worth.
