Doctor Who sleeve flash with TARDIS and Weeping Angels
Neo-trad · Colour · Flash
Two sleeve-shaped flash sheets show a Doctor Who theme, with a TARDIS, Weeping Angel statues, a Cyberman, a sonic screwdriver and a red bow tie. Bold outlines and ribbon banners carry phrases such as Don't Blink and Bigger on the Inside, set against a radiating stained glass style background. The design uses saturated blues, greens, purples and reds, arranged symmetrically across both panels.

Mags had counted the statues every morning since the fair pitched outside Maidstone, and every morning there was one more. The ghost train had eleven stone angels when the lorries came off the A20, twelve by the Tuesday, and now a thirteenth stood on the landing by the swing boats with its hands over its face, as if it had been caught being shy.

The blue cabinet had appeared on the grass behind the candyfloss van, wedged between the generator and a stack of pink plastic chairs. It had a little lamp on its roof and paint the colour of a Sunday swimming pool. Nobody else seemed to notice the figures shifting when the lights went down. Her lad, Tobias, swore one had leaned toward him over the rail. "Don't look at them," she told him, "and whatever you do, don't blink." It came out like patter, the sort you shout to pull punters past the coconut shy.
That night she stood alone in the dark ride with a torch and eyes that stung. Each time she blinked, a shoulder had moved closer. Somewhere behind her a door opened with a sound like a tuning fork, and a voice she half remembered from the telly said the inside was bigger than the outside, which she had never thought to doubt. She did not turn round. She walked backwards one step at a time, counting under her breath.
At dawn the generator coughed and died. Mags found the torch in the sawdust, still lit, pointing at an empty platform. The thirteenth angel had gone. In its place sat a red bow tie, folded neatly on the landing, and the blue cabinet was gone from the grass without a single track in the mud. Tobias said it had only gone round the back of the tent. Mags decided to take his word for it, and kept her eyes open all the way to the van.
