Pearl in a pink shell design
Neo-trad · Colour · Flash
A coloured drawing of an open pink shell with a glossy white pearl resting inside it, set on a pale base. Green seaweed fronds curl around the shell and small teal dots surround it. Bold dark outlines and soft pink and green shading give it a bright, classic flash look, with pens and a marker visible at the edges of the photo.

It was grey, not white, the colour of a wet slate, and it rolled across the path like something alive. I took it to the kitchen window and held it up to the light. But the seaweed has come up along the back fence this week, green as paint, and it has wound itself round the sweet peas as if it means to take them down to the cove with it.
Come at the weekend. Bring the good secateurs and nothing that needs ironing. I'll show you the pearl and the bucket, and we can decide together whether a border of shells is a sensible thing to plant in a Cornish garden. Your loving sister, Margaret.
