You asked in your last letter whether Lottie still climbs the lifeboat slip, and the answer is yes, every morning before the tide, with her boots in her hand so Mrs Pell won't hear.

Last Tuesday the Harrison boy and two of his cousins had a crab line tied to the rail and were tipping Ada's fish basket off the step for sport.
