Quote tattoo on the upper chest

Lettering · Chest · Black and grey · Photo

The photograph shows a woman's upper chest and shoulder, with her face cropped out of frame. A two-line quote in a serif typeface sits just below the collarbone, with its letters in black and grey ink. The fine, even strokes sit against a soft outdoor background of greenery and a white top strap on the right.

Tomorrow they would drive to Margate and set up on the pier, if the council allowed it. Nobody could say whether anyone would come.

That night she climbed the ladder into the rigging alone, a torch clamped in her teeth and the tent breathing around her. From the top she could see the whole field, the dark hedge, and the lights of the town blinking at the edge of the sea. She had no idea what would happen next. Below, her father began to whistle a tune with no proper ending, and she let him keep going until the rain finally came.
