Script quote tattoos on the forearm
Lettering · Forearm · Black and grey · Photo
Two close photographs show black script lettering on a forearm. The top image reads you see all my light on freckled skin, and the lower image reads you accept all my dark on paler skin. The lines are smooth and mostly even in weight with soft shading, and the framing is tight on the wording.

The road out here runs forty miles without a bend. Nobody stops after dark except the lorry drivers who want coffee they can't drink and a toilet they can't find. Last week a man in a grey cab sat on the kerb and cried about his daughter for an hour, and I gave him the last of the sausage rolls and didn't tell him to go home. I thought about you the whole time, how you never once asked me to cheer up.
I found your reading glasses in the glovebox of the old Vauxhall this morning, the ones you swore you'd lost in 2009. I'm posting them with this. I also want you to know I've started leaving every light on at night, the sign, the pumps, the little lamp over the door, so the men driving through can see the place from miles off. It's a poor sort of beacon, but it's mine.
You always said I let you see all my light. I've been thinking the dark has its uses too, mostly for the stars. Come out in March and bring the glasses. I'll show you the Milky Way from the car park, and you can tell me all the things I've been too proud to say.
