Vampire fangs with dripping blood
Traditional · Black and grey · Photo
A bold traditional-style tattoo of a pair of vampire fangs, with heavy black outlines and grey shading that gives the teeth volume. Two teardrop-shaped drops of blood hang below the fangs, and part of a shaded diamond tattoo appears at the right edge. The ink is black and grey on smooth skin, with the photo taken close up.

Table nine was already on its second bottle of red.

Dev got as far as "Most of you know I lost my notes in the car park" before his hand went searching his jacket. He found the plastic teeth and glanced at me. I shook my head. He grinned, slid them over his own, and clamped down with a wet little click. The room went quiet the way rooms do before someone either cries or falls off a chair.
"Good evening," he said, in a voice like a bad Transylvanian film. "I have known this woman since she bit my ear in Year Four, and I have waited nineteen years for her to say yes." Ayesha laughed so hard she had to hold the edge of the table. Aunt Maureen clapped with both hands over her mouth. By the time he reached the bit about the car park, half the room was doing the voice back at him.
Afterwards the fangs were in the bin by the coat rack, one tooth snapped. Ayesha fished them out and put them in her clutch. "For the first anniversary," she said, "in case he forgets whose ear it was." I still don't know if she meant the teeth or the speech, and I've decided not to ask.
