Blue snowflake tattoo on a foot
Fine line · Other · Colour · Photo
A blue snowflake sits on the top of a bare foot, with six branching arms and smaller crossing details. The linework is soft and shaded in light and mid blues, with scattered white dots around the design. The foot fills the frame against a pale green cloth background.

She put a finger on the dots I had dabbed around it with the pen and asked what they were. Stars, I said, or the ones that did not make it all the way down.
Keep a lamp burning in the window for me, and write back before the thaw. I have enclosed the pattern on the back of this page so you can make one for the girls in Halifax. Your loving sister, Nell.
