Fighter lettering on the inner wrist

Lettering · Forearm · Black and grey · Photo

The photograph shows the word fighter tattooed on the inner wrist, with part of a hand with fingers visible above it. The lettering uses a serif typewriter style typeface in solid black ink with soft edges and some shading in the strokes. The image is in black and white, with the wrist centred and the lettering sitting in the lower middle of the frame against a plain grey sleeve.

He paid in coins he counted twice and carried the machine out under his arm like a loaf. Through the window I watched him stop at the kerb and tap the top of the case twice, the way you would knock on a door you expected to open.
