Lion thigh tattoo and chest wolf and rose piece
Realism · Chest · Mixed · Photo
A shirtless man in black shorts lifts the waistband to show a detailed black and grey lion head on his outer thigh, with fine shading in the mane. His chest carries a coloured piece showing a snarling wolf head, a white rose and teal and green scrolling shapes. The photo is taken outdoors against a grey wall, with the tattoos as the main focus.

Nell Garrity had the cats fed by six, same as every morning since the big top was sold for scrap in Doncaster. She carried the bucket across the lot past the dead generator and the bunting that had faded to the grey of old newspaper.

The bills had come on Tuesday. Ferrers, the last of the brothers, read them out in the caravan with his glasses pushed up on his forehead. Nobody paid to see a lion that dozed through the afternoon. Nell said Samson did not doze, he rested, and Ferrers said the difference was not worth a penny. She went out and sat on the step of the lion van with her knees under her chin until the light turned the field copper.
When she came back, Samson was on his feet, which he had not managed since March. His shoulders shifted under the mane and he walked slowly to the open door, looked out across the empty lot, and roared once, low and long. The sound rolled over the hedges toward the ring road. A dog barked. A lorry changed gear on the A-road. Ferrers came running from the office with his tie undone.
By Saturday there was a queue at the gate: eleven people with prams and folding chairs, and a boy clutching a fiver he had counted three times. Nell pulled back the ring curtain herself. Ferrers did not argue. Samson sat in the middle of the sawdust, mane lifting in the draught, as if he had been waiting all winter for someone to ask.
