Midna character tattoo on upper back
Back · Mixed · Photo
The tattoo shows a small, cartoon-style figure of Midna from The Legend of Zelda, standing with hands on hips and wearing her grey, patterned helmet. The grey shading is smooth and soft, while the orange flame-like hair and teal line work on the arms, legs and body add bright colour. The design sits centrally on a pale back, with the image cropped closely around the tattoo.

Nobody in Harrowmere had seen the imp come out of the hedge, which was the first thing Dunstan Fell complained about when it climbed onto his cart tailboard and sat there swinging its heavy grey helm like a bucket. Its hair was a crown of orange flame that smelled of struck matches, and it stood with its hands on its hips the way his wife did when the bread had burnt.

"You've got my lantern," it said. "The one you hung on the gatepost in the autumn."
Dunstan had. He'd hung it there for the lost hounds of the north field, the wind had taken it, and he hadn't thought of it since. He said so. The imp did not seem impressed. It hopped down, walked three slow circles around his boots, and pointed at the forest with a grey finger that ended in a little curl of teal.
The trees across the lane leaned in, the hedges rustled, and the village road came up beneath him like a ribbon of old gold. Dunstan spent the night walking roads he had never bothered to learn, following the faint green glow the imp left on every stone. By dawn the lantern sat back on the gatepost, its glass cracked and its wick burning green at the edges. The imp was gone. Beside the post, set neatly in the dew, lay a single flat stone with a spiral cut into it, and a note in cramped script: Keep it lit, or I come back for the cart.
