No fear script tattoo on a foot

Fine line · Other · Black and grey · Photo

A close photograph of a foot resting on a dark leather surface, with the words no fear written in thin black cursive script across the top of the foot towards the toes. The linework is fine and even, with a slightly uneven hand-lettered flow and a long tail on the f. The skin tone is warm and the toenails are painted red, with a soft blurred background.

Tell the children the lighthouse is still painted white, and tell Mrs Coyle I owe her a shilling and a long apology for the business with the hens.

When you read this, go down to the slip at dusk and look west. If the light there is steady, I am already past the headland, and you may stop worrying about the weather. If it flickers, put the kettle on anyway, because I will be cold and I will want tea.
