Veni vidi vici script on finger
Lettering · Hand · Black and grey · Photo
A close photograph of a hand with the Latin phrase Veni vidi vici written in black script lettering along the length of one finger. The linework is clean and fairly fine, with the ink appearing dark and slightly soft at the edges. The hand wears a large gold ring with a clear stone, and the background is white lace fabric with a cigarette held between the fingers.

He will understand it or he will not.
The lace you once made me, the grey-white one with the knotted border, went into the baggage train with the rest. I think of it when the wind comes off the hills and snaps the standards straight. Tell the girl at the fountain that I have seen the country she described, and it is nothing like her drawings, and that I like it better for that.
There is no grand battle to report. There was a river, a bridge that held, and a rain of arrows that stopped short of us as though it had been told to. I will be home before the vines are cut. Keep the lamp lit in the window. I will know the house by the light.
