Galaxy-filled Deathly Hallows symbol on forearm
Geometric · Forearm · Mixed · Photo
A bold black outline forms a triangle, circle and vertical line, the Deathly Hallows symbol, with the interior filled by soft galaxy shading. The fill uses purple, pink and blue tones with small white star highlights, blending smoothly across the circle and the three triangle sections. The tattoo sits centred on pale skin against a dark plastic backdrop, shot straight on.

The village hall had bought its machine from a bankrupt cinema in Leeds, and on Saturdays it hummed for the children, throwing a sky of painted pinpricks across the ceiling. Nobody else in Hollin Bridge knew how to thread the slide wheel.

She climbed the ladder in the dark with a torch between her teeth. Her husband had built the thing from a tea chest, a lamp and a sheet of card punched with a compass point, and every star on it was his. Three shapes sat in the brass ring at the centre: a triangle, a circle and a single line through both. Walter had cut them from a rusted biscuit tin, saying a man could keep the night in his pocket if he knew how to fold it.
The lamp caught on the fourth try. The ceiling bloomed violet and rose, nebulae spilling over the stage, and the children who had stayed late gasped and pointed. Margaret stood on the ladder with the bulb warm on her cheek and thought of the tin, which she had given to the jumble sale in March for a shilling, to a stranger who had not haggled.
Later she found the tin's lid under the stage, a paper star folded inside it. She wrote the sum on the back of the bus timetable: one shilling, one tin, one sky. It came out even, which Walter would have called a fair bargain.
