Giraffe outline with script lettering on shoulder

Fine line · Shoulder · Black and grey · Photo

A black outlined giraffe with its head raised sits across the upper back near the shoulder blade. Its body is formed from thin, flowing script lettering, with the neck and head drawn as a single continuous line. The ink is solid black on tanned skin against a dark background, and the wearer's striped pink, black, yellow and teal top sits to the right of the design.

Yesterday the council man came to measure the field for a car park. He stood under the one good oak with his clipboard and asked whether the animal was insured. Stand tall, the old lettering said, though most people took it for a joke about her legs. I stood there a long while. Then she lowered her head and nudged my coat pocket for the carrot I always keep there.

I'm on the 6.15 to Crewe on Thursday, and I've decided to take her with me if Hewitt will lend us the trailer. Come and help me lift her. Bring gloves. Your sister, Nell.
