Greek word agape on forearm
Lettering · Forearm · Black and grey · Photo
A close photograph of a small tattoo of the Greek word agape in thin, black, hand-style lettering on the inner forearm. The strokes are fine and even, with the accent mark above the first letter. The pale skin and plain background keep the focus on the lettering, with no colour or shading.

Dimitra kept the spare accent, a sliver of lead no longer than a grain of rice, in the tin where she kept her buttons. When the baker's wife came back for a second order and asked for it, Dimitra told her it had been used up. It had not. She simply liked knowing where it was.
