Black fine line script tattoo of the words the will to live will always outweigh the ability to die, across the ribs.

Handwritten quote along the ribs

Fine line · Ribs · Black and grey · Photo

A close photograph of a skin-toned side torso with three lines of black cursive lettering running diagonally across the ribs. The words read the will to live will always outweigh the ability to die, written in a thin, even monoline with a slightly looping hand. The background is softly blurred, and the shallow focus keeps the lettering sharp.

I thought it was a recipe at first, the way she underlined it.

The first tray is cooling now. The window has gone from black to the colour of weak tea, and the crust is ticking and crackling as it shrinks. Come in early tomorrow. I'll leave the lamp on for you.
