Matching Stitch tattoos on two sides
Ribs · Colour · Photo
Two photographs show matching colour tattoos of the cartoon character Stitch, a blue creature with pink ears, one on each person's side. The left figure is seated and in profile, while the right figure is curled up and seen from above, with a small red spot near the body. The cartoon linework is clean and the blue and pink fills are smooth, set against plain skin with a soft, slightly bright background light.

A story inspired by this tattoo · fiction
The thing in the crab pot had six legs, four of them the wrong way round, and it was eating the bait with its whole face. Nell Pryce hauled the pot onto the quay, peered through the mesh, and told her cousin Iolo that if he laughed she would put him back in the sea with it.

Iolo did not laugh. He crouched, offered it a chip, and the creature took the chip, then the fork, then a corner of his sleeve. It had a coat the colour of wet slate and two pink ears that flapped whenever it was pleased, which was often. It had no name, so for a week they called it Dinas after the lighthouse, until it began to answer to any word that sounded like a sneeze.
By the end of August the harbourmaster had stopped asking questions and the whole town had opinions. Nell wanted it kept in the boathouse. Iolo wanted to take it to the city, where he said people would pay to see something so sure of itself. Neither of them expected the morning it crept between their two deckchairs, curled tight, and fell asleep with its ears over its eyes. The cousins sat very still until the tide came in around the rocks. Then they walked up to Mrs Gwyn's parlour above the bakery and came back with matching blue ink and pink ears, one for each of them, and a dot of red that the tattooist swore was a heart.
The creature woke, sneezed, and went straight for the water without a backward glance. Nell watched it go and rubbed her side. Iolo said it had only been using them, and Nell said that was fine, because somebody had to be useful in a family that could not keep a fish alive.
