Stormtrooper helmet tattoo on a limb
Other · Black and grey · Photo
A small stormtrooper helmet is drawn in solid black ink on a limb covered with clear plastic wrap. The design uses bold, simple lines for the helmet's brow, visor and mouth grille, with three black dots below. The image is in black and grey with a plain, pale background and a close, centred composition.

Dear Mum, I know you wanted me to be a bank clerk, but the stormtrooper is still with me, sort of. Dad said the Imperial helmet was always going to be a bad omen for the sheep, and he was right, because the ewes have taken one look at me since Tuesday and gone to the far side of the paddock. Mr Halloran at the feed shop says it is the plastic wrap, that the sheep think I am a lamp or a ghost. I have tried explaining that the wrap is only there so the ink can settle, and that the man who did it used a steady hand and a proper needle, which is more than I can say for the fence.

The dots below the grille were Gran's idea, though she has no memory of it. She said three was a lucky number and that a proper trooper should always have his own little constellation. I told her the Empire did not go in for luck, and she said that was exactly why it had lost. She is still ahead of me on that argument, I'm afraid.
The lads at the lambing shed want to know if I can still aim. I told them the visor is only drawn on, and a man who cannot see through a helmet has no business in a barn full of ewes. Anyway, the ewes are coming round. Yesterday one of them walked straight up to my left shin and sniffed it, very seriously, as if she were checking the Empire's papers. I took that as a yes.
Love, Tom. P.S. Do not tell the vicar I am back in the stable with a helmet on my leg.
