Twin skull butterflies on the chest
Neo-trad · Chest · Mixed · Photo
Two matching butterfly tattoos sit either side of the upper chest, each with a skull face wearing a pink bow and pink hearts and stars on the wings. The bold black outlines are filled with pink and grey shading, giving a cartoonish, graphic look. The photo is cropped at the neck and shows a thin silver necklace and a black top below.

Mind the drips off the awning, love, and come under here where the gas lamp still works. Rain like this has been falling on Gallow Street since before the tramlines, and it always brings out the two moths.

Nell Harrow ran the ribbon stall at the top end, and she sold more pink satin than anyone in the county. One wet Thursday she sat with a tin of pins and a sheet of brown paper and cut out two butterflies with skulls for faces. She gave them bows and hearts for their wings and a scatter of stars, because she said a market needed something that didn't mind being looked at. The moths were beautiful and a bit vain, and they took to flying off the stall at dusk to sit on the church railings and watch the trams.
Then a tinker called Crake came through with a cart of tin kettles and offered her a shilling a wing for them. Nell said no. Crake said the rain would have them by Saturday. He was right about the rain and wrong about most things else. Saturday came in grey and the paper softened, and the pink ran down the gutters in long bright threads, and by Monday the skulls had gone as grey as dishwater.
But on the following dusk Nell found two damp shapes pressed against her shutters, and in the morning there was a single pink heart left on the awning, drying in the sun. The moths had got their colour back from somewhere else, and they still come back, if you're quiet, and look at the tramlines as if they own them.
