Blue TARDIS and script on a forearm
Forearm · Colour · Photo
A blue TARDIS police box with yellow windows and a small red light on its roof is tattooed on the forearm, with the word geronimo written in black script beneath it. The blue and yellow fills and bold dark outlines give the design a flat, cartoon-like finish. The arm is photographed against a plain yellow wall and a grey skirt with a black pattern, with the tattoo as the main focus.

Right, pull your chairs in, and mind Kenny's crisp packet, because this is the bit where the lift stops between eleven and twelve. Everybody knew Mrs Adeyemi on the fourteenth floor kept a blue police box in her cupboard under the stairs. Nobody believed it until the Thursday the power went off across Hollins House and the whole estate sat in the dark with torches.

That night a yellow light came on in the stairwell, and a sound like a cow with a cold, and there stood the box on the landing, bright as a bruise. Mrs Adeyemi came out in her dressing gown with a flask. 'Are you coming or are you not?' she said to the lad from flat nine, Tommy Bright, who was twelve and had never been further than the bins.
Tommy had a rule about jumping. You shout the word first, so the air knows you mean it. So he stood at the rail, the little red light on the roof blinking like it was counting, and he shouted, 'Geronimo!' loud enough to rattle every letterbox on the landing. Then he went through the door after her, and the box hummed, folded itself up into the dark like a deckchair, and was gone.
Power came back at six. The landing was empty, apart from a scorch of blue paint on the banister and a biscuit tin with nothing in it. Tommy turned up on Saturday with sand in his trainers and a postcard from a place with three suns on it. He said the box had been sorry about the bins. That's the story, and if anybody tells you it's a lie, ask them where the flask went.
