TARDIS police box on a forearm
Realism · Forearm · Mixed · Photo
A blue TARDIS police box sits on the inner forearm, with its door panels, windows and roof detail shaded in several tones of blue and lit with pale highlights. Above it a black line drawing of an animal-like creature is visible, and below it black lettering reads partly as "the" and the start of a second word. The photograph is taken indoors against a sofa, with a patterned skirt and dark top in the frame.

It stood on the shingle as if it had been there for years, square and sturdy, with POLICE PUBLIC CALL BOX painted in faded white letters across the top. Its windows were lit from within by warm amber panes. The door gave with a sigh when she pushed it, and inside there was no room at all, only a great humming dark and a glass column rising into it like a stair.
A man in a crumpled grey coat leaned out from the console, hair standing up as though he had been raking his hands through it all night. "Ah," he said, delighted and slightly accusing. "Lighthouse. Perfect. Is your lamp out?"
"It's turning," Ada said.
"Then I'm late for once and the sea is being kind." He pulled a lever. The shingle hissed under the door, and when the box rose off the stones with a note like a struck bell, she saw her own lamp above the headland dim, then flare brighter than it ever had, as though something had borrowed its light and given it back twice over.
