Breathe and this too will pass script design
Lettering · Black and grey · Flash
The image shows a handwritten script design with the word breathe in large looping letters and the phrase this too will pass written in smaller, slanted letters beneath it. The linework is thin and even, with a long swooping stroke rising from the bottom left and a looped tail on the first letter. The ink is black on a pale grey-blue sheet, with no shading or colour.

"Breathe," he called up when she stopped on the ninety-third step to hold the rail. "Breathe first, then the next step. The sea doesn't hurry for anybody."
She did not believe him, but she breathed. The stair smelt of paraffin and wet wool. At the top the glass was black and the wind came through the shutter cracks like a blade feeling for a gap. She struck the flint four times before the wick caught, and the light swung out over the water, thin and yellow.
Three ships came in by it that night and none struck. Afterwards the mainland paper printed a piece about the keeper's girl and her courage, which Ada found tiresome. What she kept thinking of was the old logbook in the lamp room, where her grandmother had written a few pencilled words beside each bad night. Nobody had asked for them. She had simply thought them worth writing down: this too will pass.
