Cartoon T-rex in a suit with slogan
Neo-trad · Upper arm · Colour · Photo
A brown T-rex head wearing a grey suit collar and blue tie is shown with its mouth open, set above a curved slogan that reads Don't lose your dinosaur. Bold black outlines, speckled shading on the head and a few green footprints and grass blades frame the design. Bright greens, blues and browns dominate the colour palette against lightly toned skin.

The rings went missing at the edge of the long meadow, and Ada Penrose was the first to say what everyone had been thinking. Her groom had not kept hold of the dinosaur. Brack, the old tyrannosaur who had walked behind the Fell family since before the mill closed, had wandered off into the grass with both rings still in his mouth.

Tom Fell stood in his borrowed suit, his blue tie crooked where his mother had tied it that morning, and he did not shout. The old women of Harrowmere said a man who shouts at a dinosaur only gets roared at in return. So he sat down in the grass and waited, the way his grandfather had taught him, with his hands open on his knees.
Brack came out of the green stalks slowly, his brown flanks striped where the sun caught them. He lowered his great head until his eye was level with Tom's. Then he opened his jaws, and the two rings lay on his tongue, bright as spilt water. Tom took them without touching the teeth, which was the whole of the trick, and the dinosaur breathed warm air over his grey collar and turned back towards the village.
Ada came down the lane with her veil bunched in her fist. She looked at the rings, then at the dinosaur, then at the man still sitting in the grass. 'You kept your dinosaur,' she said. 'Mostly,' said Tom, and she laughed so hard she had to hold on to his tie. They were married before the bells had finished, and Brack ate the top tier off the trestle while the whole village pretended not to see.
