Geometric line art flash sheet
Geometric · Black and grey · Flash
A flash sheet laid out in rows on a black background, with a mountain landscape photograph across the top. Each design is built from thin white linework forming circles, triangles, hexagons, diamonds and interlocking sacred geometry motifs. The designs are in black and white only, arranged in an even grid of square panels.

The king wanted his mountains measured as circles, not as heights. Every spring the surveyors of Hallowmere climbed the Teeth with brass theodolites and came back down with numbers that refused to close, and every spring the court sent them up again with the same instruction: find the centre.

I was twenty when Master Odric gave me the ink-stained compass and a coil of hemp rope. We set our first station on the shoulder of the Grey Mother and sighted the three peaks the old maps called the Crown, the Hinge and the Quiet Sister. Three points make a triangle, and a triangle makes a circle if you are stubborn enough to draw the line through its heart. Odric chalked the circle on a flat slab of rock, then a smaller one inside it, then another, until the slab looked like the inside of a bell.
The snow came early that year and buried our second station. For nine days I lived in a stone hut with only the compass and a lamp, turning the needle over and over in my fingers. On the ninth night the clouds tore open and the moon lay exactly across the three peaks, its light falling squarely on the place where Odric's chalk lines met.
When we came down, the court wanted the centre marked in gold. I refused. I cut a single small square into the stone at that point and left it bare, so that whoever came after would have to stand on it to see what I had seen. Odric called it foolishness. He is buried beneath the Hinge now, and the square is still there, cold under my palm every time I pass.
