Horror film characters full sleeve
Realism · Upper arm · Black and grey · Photo
A full sleeve of horror film characters runs from the upper arm down to the wrist, with a large masked figure holding a chainsaw at the top and a shark at the bottom. The portraits are rendered in fine black and grey shading with strong contrast, smooth gradients and detailed skin and hair texture. Smaller vignettes, including a clown, a chainsaw, a snarling creature and the word REDRUM in red, are packed around the main figures on a dark background.

Sit down, the lot of you, and stop pretending you've forgotten the hall. Forty years on and it still squeaks under the basketball hoops. I was the one who propped the fire door that night, so don't look at me like I invented the dark. Ask Carol Whitlow where she left her coat.

The rumour started with the masks. Someone had nicked the cardboard heads from the drama cupboard, a grinning clown, a grey face with blank eyes, a hat with knives for fingers, and hung them from the climbing bars like drying fish. Under the strip lights, Donna Pike swore she'd seen a chainsaw running in the corridor with its blade sticking out of the wall. There was no chainsaw. There was Mr Pryce's wet mop, and a line of red paint on the stairwell that read backwards in the glass of the door as REDRUM, which Donna said spelt MURDER the right way round. That was why nobody went for the bins alone.
We went looking anyway, ten of us with torches, and found a shark cushion from the reading corner wedged under the fire door. Nobody had come in. Nobody had gone out. At the bottom of the stairs, Tony Gill sat with his back to the wall, grinning, a red balloon tied to his wrist. He wouldn't say a word, not even when we shook him.
He's over there by the urn now, look, still holding that balloon. Go on, ask him where he was that night. He'll only point at the mirror.
