Matching love you most and love you more finger tattoos
Lettering · Hand · Black and grey · Photo
Two hands are shown close together, each with a short phrase tattooed in black ink. One reads love you most in a mix of script and capitals, and the other reads love you more in the same pairing of styles. The linework is clean and fairly thin, with solid black ink and no shading, set against pale skin.

You remember the argument. We were nine and eleven and sat on the slipway with a tin of Dad's white gloss. You painted love you most in your best hand, all loops and swoops like Granny's birthday cards, and I said that's not fair, so I did love you more on the other oar with the MORE in capitals because I wanted it to shout. You called it cheating. The script wobbled every time the boat knocked the steps, and the capitals ran where I pressed too hard.
The Harbourmaster came by on Tuesday asking whose dinghy was tied up at the steps with no name on it. I told him it belonged to two girls who had never once agreed on anything. He laughed and said the paint would outlast the boat, which is the only prediction anyone in this town has got right in years.
So here is my answer, and you can have the last word on it when you're home. Most, more, it doesn't matter who wins. Bring the oars back, and we'll see which of us has to sand the other one.
