Memento Mori script on a rib cage
Fine line · Ribs · Black and grey · Photo
The tattoo is the words Memento Mori written in a flowing cursive script in black ink across the side of the torso. The linework is thin and even, with solid black strokes and no shading. The black and white photograph is taken close up, with a dark top at the upper edge framing the skin.

I keep thinking of what you said on the last morning, standing by the window with your coat half on, that we should write the words down before we forget how we meant them. So I have. Remember the time is short, and so is the tea, and so is the light in November. Keep the lamp burning until I come up on the train. I will bring the brass key, and we can finally find out what it opens.
