Animated villains colour sleeve on upper arm
Neo-trad · Upper arm · Colour · Photo
A full sleeve of cartoon villain characters fills the upper arm, with a green-faced figure with horns at the top, a grinning character with blue flame-like hair beside a pale figure with dark hair, and a crowned queen in purple and black at the front. The linework is bold and the shading is smooth, with soft gradients on skin tones, fabric and hair. Bright purples, greens and blues dominate against darker grey backgrounds, and the arm is photographed against a wooden floor and mirror.

The Guild of Wicked Households had never once met on time, so Mother Vesper was already on her third cup of nettle tea when the others came up the stairs above the fishmonger's on Brine Street. Hagatha Crane arrived first, green as pond water, her cloak snagged on the banister and her temper snagged with it. Grimwald followed, smoke-blue hair crackling, still grinning at a joke nobody had told him. Morwenna came last, slithering up the steps one tentacle at a time, apologising for the puddles.

Queen Ysolde swept in at the end, crown polished and straight, and took the chair nearest the window where she could see her reflection in the glass. The agenda was short but bitter. The princesses of the realm had stopped screaming at the sight of them. A girl in Harrowgate had sent back a poisoned apple with a note asking whether it came in a larger size. A sailor had tried to bargain Morwenna down to a single pearl. Hagatha wanted the drowning contracts revived. Grimwald wanted fireworks. Ysolde wanted a proper mirror, one that told the truth.
They argued until the fish shop below shut its shutters and the gulls gave up on the bins. At last Mother Vesper set down her cup and proposed that the Guild simply stop frightening children for a season and see what the children did next. Nobody spoke. Then Grimwald laughed so hard his hair sparked out the window, and Hagatha laughed too, and even Ysolde's mouth twitched at the corner. The motion carried four votes to none, with Morwenna abstaining because she had been asleep.
When the others had gone down the stairs, Ysolde lingered at the glass and tilted her crown a fraction. In the reflection, for once, she looked almost pleased with what she saw.
