Bachelorette burrito quote on a wrist
Lettering · Forearm · Mixed · Photo
The design is a text-based piece on the inner wrist, with the words I belong with, Kristen's, Bachelorette Party, If I'm lost, buy me a burrito. A simple burrito illustration sits beside the final line. The lettering uses solid, clean strokes in black and gold-brown tones, with a flowing script for the name, and the plain background keeps the focus on the design.

The minibus had been parked outside the chip shop for forty minutes when Marnie finally admitted the bride was gone. Kristen had wandered off after a man selling hot sauce from a wheelbarrow, and her phone lay face down on the back seat, buzzing with messages from the groom's mother. The table at the seafront restaurant was booked for eight, and if they lost it, a coach party from Stockport would take it.

Marnie's sister Jo wanted to ring the police. Marnie wanted to check the bins behind the amusements, because that was the last direction Kristen had waved in. They split up with a plan scribbled on a beer mat: Jo would take the pier, Marnie the promenade, and whoever found a burrito first would shout loud enough to carry over the gulls. The beer mat was soggy within ten minutes, and the biro had run into a blue smear that looked like a map and a bit like a cow.
Marnie found her at a kiosk under the clock tower, perched on an upturned crate with a foil parcel on her knee and an expression of total contentment. 'I was lost,' Kristen said, not looking up. 'You're supposed to buy me a burrito.' Marnie bought two, because the queue was long and her own stomach had been arguing since noon. They ate on the sea wall while the light turned orange over the water, and neither of them mentioned the table.
When Jo arrived, puffing and furious, she found them wiping salsa off their wrists with paper napkins. 'Worth it,' Kristen said, and held up a sticker of the same slogan she'd had printed that morning. Jo read it twice, sat down heavily on the wall, and asked where the other burrito was.
