Cupcake with bow and heart wrapper
Neo-trad · Calf · Colour · Photo
A cupcake with swirled yellow and cream frosting, red speckles and a red bow on top, sitting in a teal wrapper decorated with pink hearts. Bold black outlines define the shapes, with soft pink and purple shading and small coloured dots scattered around the outside. The design is centred on a pale limb against a light blue background.

The rosette went to Harcourt's own granddaughter, as everyone expected. But when the tent emptied, Dilys found the red ribbon folded on her table, with a single pink heart drawn on the back of a judging card and a note in careful capitals: KEEP THE BOW, IT SUITS YOU. Her cupcakes were gone by noon. The ribbon she kept.
