Gravity Falls temporary tattoo sheet
Mixed · Flash
The sheet shows a set of cartoon character and object designs from the Gravity Falls series, including the show logo, a pink pig, a shooting star with a rainbow trail, a blue pine tree, and three characters: Mabel, Grunkle Stan and Dipper. Bill Cipher is drawn in black outline with a bow tie, while the other designs use flat colour with simple shading. The designs are arranged evenly on a white background within a thin border, with a Disney XD logo in the lower left corner.

The sign over Gorsey Pines Gift Shop had been wrong since 1987, and my uncle Ray refused to fix it on principle. Every summer the tourists parked in the gravel, photographed the carved pine out front and listened to Ray swear it was older than the county. I swept sawdust for him in June and learned more about lying from that man than any school ever taught me.

The summer it went strange, a yellow star dropped over the ridge at midnight, dragging a rainbow behind it like someone had flicked a paintbrush across the dark. It landed in Mrs Okonedo's pig field. By breakfast her pink sow, Bramble, was sitting upright on the fence, giving the weather in a voice like a retired headmaster. Nobody believed a word until she was right about the hail.
Ray went out after dark with a torch and a bag of peppermints, the way he did for anything that scared the customers. At the tree line stood a black triangle no taller than a fence post, with one eye set in its middle and a bow tie knotted at its base. It looked at him over the bow tie and asked whether he had ever once bet against himself. Ray said no. The triangle said that was a shame, because he was about to lose the shop.
He did lose it, more or less. By Monday the sign read TRUE PINES, and somebody had painted a rainbow across the forecourt that no amount of turpentine would shift. The star never came back. Ray sold the bow ties by the till for a pound apiece and never told a tourist a lie again. I still sweep around the colours every morning, just in case.
