Metallic temporary tattoo flash sheet
Mixed · Flash
A flash sheet of metallic and coloured temporary tattoo designs on a white background. It includes a large gold lotus-style floral motif, red and black flower clusters, a red chain with a small charm, patterned border bands and small triangular ornaments. The designs are laid out in an even grid with flat, clean linework and no shading, and the code CF-023 and T017 appear as product labels.

A story inspired by this tattoo · fiction
Marjorie had sold the gold transfers from a folding table outside the bandstand for three summers, and she knew the trick of them: wet the sponge, press for thirty seconds, then peel the backing slowly so the foil lifts away like skin from warm milk. Mostly the children wanted the red chain with the little charm that looked like a bell. Mostly the mothers wanted the big gold lotus, because it covered an arm properly and, they said, lasted until Thursday.

The Harrow boy came at four with a fifty-pence coin clenched in his fist and asked for the lotus. He held out his forearm like a pilot showing a chart. Marjorie laid the sheet flat, found the flower with her thumbnail and pressed. The petals came up crisp and bright, each curl of the paisley tail settling exactly where the veins of his wrist ran blue beneath the skin. "Don't wash it for two days," she said, as she said to everyone, though nobody ever listened.
By seven the wind had got up off the harbour and the bandstand flags were cracking like shots. Marjorie packed the sheets into a biscuit tin, code side up, and found a strip of the red chain stuck to the back of her own hand where she had tested it that morning. The links had gone dull and pinkish, and the charm was half lifted at one corner. She peeled it off in one piece and laid it on the tin lid to dry.
The boy's mother rang the next afternoon, cross, because the gold had rubbed onto his pillowcase in two perfect rings. Marjorie told her to try cold water and not to fret, and when the call ended she slipped the chain into the pocket of her cardigan, where it kept catching the light every time she reached for her change.
