Patience script lettering design
Lettering · Black and grey · Flash
A single word, patience, followed by a full stop, written in a flowing black monoline script on a plain white background. The linework is even and smooth, with a tall looped p and a long tail extending beneath the word. The composition is centred and uncluttered, with no shading or colour.

The weather's turned here. The blackberries on the back fence have gone to mush and the wasps are drunk on them by teatime. I've been sorting the loft, and under the eaves I found the tin with your letters from the summer you were at Aunt Pru's, all those pages about the boy with the motorbike who never came to call. You were right to wait for him or not wait, whichever it was. I've forgotten which, and I'm too old now to mind.
The seed catalogue came Tuesday. I ordered runner beans, the scarlet ones, and a row of sweet peas for the fence, though Dennis swears they'll never take in this clay. We'll see who's right come August. Write when you can. Don't post anything nice, I'd only worry you'd forgotten how.
All my love, and do wear the scarf, it's cold up there.
