Bachelorette party temporary tattoo on forearm
Forearm · Mixed · Photo
A close photograph of a forearm or wrist carrying a temporary tattoo with black typewriter-style text, where the name Lauren's is set in larger red letters. Below the text is a bold red lips print and the phrase If I'm Lost, Please Buy Me A Drink in smaller black type. The lines are crisp and flat, with no shading, and the blurred green grass background keeps the focus on the skin.

Dear Pauline,

You will not believe the weekend I have had, and I am writing this on the back of a laminated pub menu because Lauren has taken all the good notepaper into the bathroom of the Feathers to be sick. The hen party was meant to be a quiet spa day in Scarborough. Instead Shona's sash said Bride's Rota, Tash had acquired a foam trident from somewhere, and nobody could find the minibus keys, so we walked. Eleven miles of cliff path in heels is not a plan, Pauline. It is a cry for help.
Somewhere past the lighthouse Lauren stopped to retie a shoe and told us to go on ahead. We did, because we always do. By the time we noticed she had not caught up, the sun was going down and her phone was going straight to voicemail. Tash rang the coastguard. The coastguard asked for a description. All Tash could manage was that she had a red kiss on her wrist and a sentence about buying her a drink, which is not, it turns out, a description the emergency services find helpful.
The barman at the Feathers found her first. She had been sitting at the bar since six, telling anyone who asked that she was perfectly well and only lost in the sense that everyone is lost on a Saturday. Then a lifeboat man walked in, read her wrist out loud, and bought her a pint. She bought him one back. By the time we arrived she had set up a quiz team of six fishermen and a retired vicar, and they were winning.
The bill is on the other side of this menu. I have put it under your name, because you were the one who said a hen do was harmless. Ring me when you are back from Cornwall.
Love, Maureen
