Disney princess colour arm sleeve
Neo-trad · Upper arm · Colour · Photo
A four-panel collage of a full arm sleeve showing scenes from Disney films, including a seated Jasmine, Belle beside the Beast, a teapot character, and Ariel with her fish companion beneath the sea. The work uses bold dark outlines with smooth shading and saturated colour, with bubbles, coral and a clamshell filling the lower sections. Colour dominates across all panels, and the tattoo fills the frame against a plain red and plaid background.

The kettle in Nan Haskett's kitchen had come up out of the harbour in a net, dented and blue-green with weed, and it had never once boiled dry. Each evening Nan set it on the range and waited for the knock inside the spout, which meant the tide was about to turn and someone under the water wanted tea.

Her grandson Davey thought the thing was rubbish until the summer he needed money for a boat engine. He wrapped it in an old jumper and carried it down to the quay, where a dealer from Falmouth offered forty pounds and a handshake. Davey had never been lucky with handshakes. That night the kettle was gone from its hook, and the knocking came from the water beneath the harbour steps, slow and insistent, like someone tapping on a window they wanted opened.
Nan found him at dawn sitting on the slipway with his trousers rolled to the knee. "It wouldn't sing for the man," he said. "It just sat there with its lid shut, looking at me." Under the wall, a small yellow fish no bigger than a plaice nosed at a clamshell on the weed, and the shell opened, and a string of bubbles went up through the green light like a row of lamps being lit in a house far down.
Nan took the kettle from the wet stone, filled it from the sea, and set it on the range. It sang. Davey went home without the engine and without the money, and the bubbles kept rising past the steps all morning, the way they always did when the tide was going out and somebody down there had decided to let the boy off.
