Gold foil bride tribe lettering on a wrist

Lettering · Forearm · Colour · Photo

A gold foil temporary tattoo reads bride tribe in flowing script, with a small diamond outline above the word bride. The lettering is shown in a single metallic gold tone with a slightly textured, foil-like finish, set against smooth skin. The wrist fills the frame against a plain grey wall, with the text centred on the forearm.

"Sixty of them," the woman said, tapping her phone against the counter. "Bride tribe, gold, in that swishy handwriting. And the little diamond above the bride, because she was very clear about the diamond."

Nadia Pryce had run the transfer press at the back of her uncle's print shop in Margate for eleven years, and she had never once been asked to make something that would sit on a wrist for a whole weekend. She spent the afternoon at the plotter, feeding gold film through the heat press while the radio talked about tides. The script came out clean on the first sheet, every loop of the b holding its curl. On the fourth, the diamond slipped a few millimetres and printed sitting crookedly above the word, like a crown knocked sideways at a party. She binned that sheet, then fished it back out, looked at it for a long moment, and slid it into her apron pocket.

The order went out on Friday in a padded envelope. The woman rang back on Sunday night, sounding hoarse and delighted. Every member of the tribe had worn the crooked diamond down to the pier, the wedding was a week on Thursday, and could Nadia possibly do another hundred, all with the diamond a little off, just like that.

She took the old sheet from her pocket, smoothed it flat on the bench, and set the plotter to cut the diamond a touch further to the left.
