Matching cartoon tooth tattoos on two thighs
Dotwork · Thigh · Black and grey · Photo
Two near-identical tattoos of a cartoon tooth with a frowning face and small blush marks sit on the upper thighs of two people, one on each leg. The bold black outline is solid, while the inner edges and shadowed areas are built from stippled dots. The image is in black and grey on pale skin, with dark clothing at the top and bottom of the frame.

"Hold still," said Dr Halloran, and Mr Pim held still, which was the most anyone had managed all morning. Left frowned and sent a grumble down the root. Right, out of loyalty or sheer spite, flushed pink at the edges and dug in deeper.
The first pull took Left clean out of its socket, but Right would not budge, so Dr Halloran braced one knee against the chair and heaved. Both came free together with a wet click, tumbled into the steel kidney dish, and came to rest side by side, still scowling at the ceiling light.
Nurse Gwen wrapped them in a square of gauze and tucked them into a biscuit tin with a strip of masking tape across the lid. Forty years later, the tin turned up in a house clearance in Ramsgate, and the woman who opened it found the two teeth still frowning at each other across the gauze, as if the argument had never finished.
