TARDIS and script quote on a forearm

Lettering · Forearm · Black and grey · Photo

A solid black outline and fill tattoo of a police box, with a pitched roof, a lantern on top and panelled doors, sits above two lines of black script lettering. The lettering reads We're All Stories In The End and runs along the forearm, with the second line angled slightly upward. The image is black and grey on pale skin, photographed against a light blue textured surface.

Ruth Pargeter did not care what anyone said. She had a row of leeks to lift and a bad hip, and the box stood where the wind came through the gap in the hedge. One October evening the door opened from the inside and a man in a crumpled coat stepped out, looked at the leeks, and asked her what year it was. She told him. Ruth handed him a leek. It seemed the polite thing. He tucked it under his arm like a rolled newspaper and went back inside, and the door shut with a sigh. In the morning the box was gone, the grass was flattened in a neat square, and the leek lay on the path with a note tucked under its root: Tell Dennis the damp is not my fault.
