Temporary tattoo sheets with food and doodle designs
Fine line · Mixed · Flash
Three square temporary tattoo sheets are laid on a perforated grey surface, each holding several small designs. The top sheet has black fine line drawings of a crescent moon, lightning bolt, music note, star, eye and planet. The middle sheet has coloured illustrations of a watermelon slice, doughnut, ice lolly, ice cream cone and pizza slice, while the bottom sheet has black outlines of a heart, infinity sign, arrow, diamond and daisy.
Take it to an artist as a reference. A good artist will make it yours rather than copy someone else's tattoo.

Dear Pat,

The box from the Margate shop came up on the coach with the raffle prizes, and I have spent two evenings sorting the sheets on the kitchen table into piles. The moon and the lightning bolt went in one pile, the doughnut and the ice lolly in another, and the planet with its ring sat on its own because Mrs Pryce said it looked like a lampshade. Nobody can agree which is the best. The ice cream cone has a cherry on top that the committee keeps pointing at.
The trouble started when the sheets sat in the back of the hot car for an hour on Saturday. The pizza slice curled up at one corner like a page left out in the rain, and the watermelon went soft and slid off its backing. I told Terry the sheets were not for sale until they had been pressed flat under the big atlas, and he said that was the most sensible thing he had heard all year, which is about what you'd expect from Terry.
The infinity sign and the daisy were still in the envelope on Sunday, and the bottom sheet was the only one that came out perfect. The diamond looked like it had been cut out of the page itself. I put the last one on the windowsill to dry, and by teatime the sun had come round and lit it up, so the little black heart seemed to float off the paper, though of course it was only the light.
Love, Marjorie
