Bachelorette flash tattoo mix pack
Lettering · Colour · Flash
A flat layout of ten small temporary tattoo designs arranged in a grid on a white background, with a pink flower in the top right corner and the heading Bachelorette Flash Tattoo Mix Pack. The designs use hand-lettered script and simple outline drawings, including three diamond rings, a heart and the words love, single and taken. The designs are rendered in metallic gold and silver foil, with no shading beyond the lettering strokes.

Half the year had turned up in sashes. Rosalind Pike, who used to sit behind me in chemistry and copy every answer, wore BRIDE TRIBE across her cardigan and kept waving her left hand at people. Somebody had bought a party pack in bulk from the same online shop, so we all had the same sheet of stickers, and Rosalind had stuck the whole lot onto her phone case in a fan.
"Single or taken?" she asked, tapping the sheet. "Pick one. You have to commit."
I chose taken, mostly to make her laugh, and she did, loudly enough that the caretaker looked up from the fire door. Then she went quiet and told me she'd spent twenty years assuming the girl who sat at the back with a Walkman would be the one who never left the town. She was a dentist in Leeds now, apparently, and had posted a photo of her own foil HOT MESS sticker on her bathroom mirror.
When the DJ started playing the song we used to dance to in the sixth-form common room, Rosalind peeled a ring off her hand and pressed it onto my knuckle, then did the same with hers. The foil stuck, and for the rest of the night I kept catching the gold in the light, a small bright thing I hadn't planned to keep.
