Team Bride gold foil tattoo designs
Lettering · Colour · Flash
Seven small transfer designs on white cards show the words team Bride in flowing script, with one card reading Bride above an arrow. The lettering uses thin, looping strokes in metallic gold foil, with a few cards showing a slightly deeper rose gold tone. The cards are arranged in a loose cluster on a plain pink background, and no skin or body is visible.

The hen party had been Ruth's idea and the temporary tattoos were Priya's, so when the sisters arrived at the Kentish Town flat with a carrier bag of gold transfers, nobody asked Ruth whether she wanted an arrow. She had a cup of tea going cold on the windowsill and her phone buzzing with the florist's third message about peonies. "Team Bride," Priya said, peeling the first card with the care of a surgeon. "Wrists or ankles?" "I've got a wedding in four hours," Ruth said. "That's exactly why."

The foil came off the paper in a bright ribbon and stuck with a damp press of a flannel, and within a minute there were six Team Brides going up and down forearms, one on the back of Auntie Maureen's hand, and a small sheepish arrow pointing from Ruth's elbow towards the kettle. Maureen insisted the rose gold ones were the posh ones. Priya insisted they were not. Ruth had stopped listening and was watching the gold catch the light from the window, thinking that her mother had once written the same loopy hand on the front of a recipe book.
By the time the car came, the transfers had dulled to a warm smudge on everyone's skin and Maureen was refusing to wash hers off, even for the church. Ruth stood on the pavement in her dress and held out her wrist for one last look. The letters had gone slightly crooked, the way a signature does when a hand is in a hurry. "Right," she said, and grinned at the arrow. "Point me at the altar."
