Crikey lettering with crocodile on an ankle
Fine line · Ankle · Black and grey · Photo
A black fine-line tattoo reads "Crikey" in cursive script on the side of a heel and ankle. A thin outlined crocodile-like shape, with a tail on the left and a toothed edge on the right, frames the word. The ink is solid black, and the photo is taken straight on against a black and white tiled floor.

On the far bank the ferry register sat in its tin box, where the log had been kept since her grandfather's day. Dot wrote the date, then under Remarks she wrote: Three crossed. One crocodile, very interested. Lenny laughed so hard he dropped his sausage roll, and the croc, who had been waiting for exactly that, took it.
