Six gold lettering designs on white backing reading brides maid, wifey and MOH, in brush script and bold block styles, with no body placement shown.

Gold bridesmaid, wifey and MOH lettering designs

Lettering · Colour · Flash

The image shows six gold text designs on white backing, arranged in a grid. Four read brides maid in brush script, one reads wifey in a flowing script, and one reads MOH in bold, textured block capitals. The letters are solid gold ink with soft edges and no shading, and the designs appear to be temporary transfers or stencil-style prints rather than tattoos on skin.

Dear Pen,

I am writing this from the back of the church hall, where I have been sitting on a stack of folding chairs for an hour because the bride has decided that the four of us must each carry a sheet of gold transfers in our handbags for the photographs. Mine says MOH, which stands for Maid of Honour, which I am, though nobody told the printer that the H would come out looking like a fence post. Yours is the one that says wifey, and I want you to know I am furious about it, because you have never once been anyone's wifey and now you have to be anyone's in the photos.

The brides maid stickers are a nightmare. Every sheet has the same two words, and by the third set I was peeling them off the backing with a hairpin and sticking them on the wrong people. Auntie Frances has one across her cardigan. The vicar has one on his shoe. Nobody can find the sheet with the apostrophes, because there are no apostrophes, and Dilys says that is a sign.

Anyway, the photographer wants us lined up by the lychgate in the order of our sticker, which means I am standing next to a woman I met yesterday holding a card that reads wifey, and she keeps saying it under her breath like a spell. Come on Saturday. Bring the spare hairpin.

Love, Jo
