Paw prints with angel wings on a thigh

Thigh · Mixed · Photo

The design shows four paw prints of different sizes and shades, each with a name written underneath, plus a pair of purple feathered wings and a small halo above the largest black paw print. The paw prints are shaded in black and grey, with blue eyes on one print and brown tones on another, and the wings use soft purple shading with fine outlines. The tattoo sits on the outer thigh and is centred on the skin with the dates at the top, against a plain background.

Hester told him the garden kept what it was given and gave back what it could, and that was all the sense anyone had ever got out of it.

She didn't sweep them away. She fetched the bucket of barley and set it down at the head of the path, the way her mother had, and went in to fill the kettle. When she came back, the blue-eyed print by the gate had turned round and was heading for the back step, small and certain, toward the open door and the saucer of milk she had left there without quite knowing why.
