Sphynx cat face tattoos on thighs and calves
Thigh · Colour · Photo
The top panel shows two tattoos of hairless sphynx-style cat faces side by side on the thighs, with large pointed ears and round blue eyes. The bottom panel shows the same cat design on both calves, viewed with the bare feet visible. The tattoos use smooth, filled shapes with soft gradient shading in pink, purple and blue, set against plain pale bedding.

The barge Marigold had carried coal, then cement, then nothing at all, and by the summer the canal authority wanted her gone, Mrs Okafor told Tom that the two grey cats on the towpath were not hers to feed and fed them anyway. They were the hairless kind, wrinkled and warm, with ears like the pages of an open atlas and eyes so wide and blue they looked permanently surprised by the lock keeper's gossip.

Tom had bought the barge for a pound and a promise to scrape her hull. He worked through June with a wire brush and a radio, and every evening the cats sat on the gunwale watching him as though he were the one being inspected. When the paint came off in long pink curls, the old hull beneath was a bruised purple, and the cats, he swore, leaned towards it like sunflowers.
In August a surveyor came aboard with a clipboard and a face like a closed door. He ran his thumb along a seam, sniffed, and said the barge would sink by winter unless someone spent four thousand pounds. Tom nodded and said nothing. That night he lay on the cabin floor with the window open and listened to water knocking at the planks, and the cats came in one by one and settled on his chest, their ears flat against the hum of his heartbeat.
In the morning he found the leak had sealed itself with a crust of green weed, and both cats were asleep on the bow in the sun, purring at the sky.
